Biography
She holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona (2002). She has extensive experience in both academic and industrial research and has been part of scientific and technical platforms and services dedicated to omics sciences (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics). She is co-author of several research articles in international journals, and her main scientific contributions focus on functional proteomics and on improving and integrating information obtained through various omics methods in order to generate a more realistic holistic view of systems biology. This work has allowed her to gain experience across a wide range of biotechnologies. Currently, her work at the Omics Sciences Technology Unit at Eurecat focuses on the application of omics methods to the study of biological systems, from the simplest such as cell cultures, biological fluids, and tissues, to the most complex such as microbial communities of the human microbiota.Sessions
