Biography

Nora Ventosa's research emphasizes the development of innovative methodologies utilizing green dense gases to produce metal-free nanoparticles for biomedical applications. She is actively involved in technology transfer, co-founding in 2010 Nanomol Technologies S.L., and in 2024 Delbios Pharmaceuticals SL. She is co-inventor of more than 50 patents under exploitation, and she is co-author of around 120 articles published in international scientific journals.

The main activity will be a roundtable discussion addressing topics of interest for young university chemistry students. This roundtable, with participation from experts in the academic field — Dr. Laia Pellejà (CERCA director), applied research, Dr. Aurea Rodríguez (Eurecat), and industry — will be organized jointly by the student sections of COQC and SCQ under the direction of Dr. Raimon Terricabres Polo. Before and after the roundtable, COQC awards will be presented, including the fourth edition of “Which Molecule Am I?” organized by the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, and the “Marie Sklodowska-Curie” award to recognize senior and junior chemists, with the collaboration of Banc de Sabadell. The “Chemistry Kit” with experiments for secondary school labs will also be presented. CC1. ROOM 1.4
