Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are an exciting class of advanced materials showing significant potential for many gas capture applications due to their exceptionally high porosity and significant gas uptake capacities. These ground-breaking compounds earned their 3 pioneers the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Yet industrial use of MOFs is only now being realised, due to historic low manufacturing volumes by batch methods, and associated high production costs.
