Biography

Dr. Jordi Piró holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB), specializing in the field of peptides and peptidomimetics. With a career spanning over 25 years in the chemical-pharmaceutical sector, he has established himself as an expert in the industrial manufacturing of peptides, an area where he has more than two decades of experience. Throughout his career, he has managed high-complexity projects ranging from generic development to the production of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for both clinical phases and commercial supply. Currently, he is the Global Sales Director at BCN Peptides, one of the world's leading companies in the industrial production of peptides as active pharmaceutical ingredients. In this role, he leads the global commercial strategy, helping clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries turn their projects into successful therapeutic realities.
